• Prof. A.A. Yalbulganov appointed to the post of the PLRI's Chief Researcher.
• Yu.V.Ginzburg, the PLRI researcher, won the contest aword of the "Issues of education" magazine in 2011. The awarded article is "Specialization of law education in the Russian universities in XIX c." (developed in co-authorship with T.N.Ilina.
• The article "Forest protection in Russia and China: practice of comparative study" by Prof. A.A. Yalbulganov in co-athorship with E.V. Biruylin, researcher, Institute of Far East, was published in the "HSE. Law" magazine. - December 2011

• The budget law tutorial by D.Komyagin, PLRI's Leading Researcher, has been published at the Public Law Research Institute's publishing house.
• A.N.Kozyrin, the PLRI Director, reported "Specialities of financial and law courses teaching in master's program" at the scientific and methodological seminar, held at the Financial University under the Government of Russia on December 10th, 2011.
• The new monograph on forestry law "Legal regulation of forest exploitation in the Russian Federation" (M., 2011) by Yalbulganov A.A., Pashenko A.V., and Khreshkova V.V. published by the PLRI's publishing house. - November 2011

• Prof. A.Yalbulganov participated as an expert to the "Actual problems of fees computation and collection for negative environmental impact" round table, held within the framework of the II Russian Congress "State regulation of environmental protection and ecological safety - 2011", November 29, 2011.
• Yu.V. Ginzburg, PLRI's researcher, delivered report on "Realization of publicity principle in the activity of control and calculating bodies in the Russian Federation" at the VIth scientific and practical conference "Legal regulation in conditions of state modernization: national and international aspects" (Kazan University, November 25-26, 2011). - October 2011
- Reports were delivered by Prof. A.N.Kozyrin ("Financial and legal aspects of privatization") and Prof. A.A.Yalbulganov ("Environmental function of taxation: legal regulation issues") at the International scientific and practical conference "Financial law in XXI century: progress and prospects" held in Kiev on October 4-7th, 2011.
